The Karmatorium (not to be confused with crematorium) takes its name from an audience-interactive installation created by Madame Karma in 1993 for a local art council's humor exhibit. Gallery visitors could reveal their destinies by rolling large hand-painted wooden dice (the original Karma Kubes™) or spinning a large wheel of fortune (the inspiration for Magna Karma™).

Encouraged by orders for the hand-painted Karma Kubes,™ she decided to manufacture them commercially. In 1994, she founded Karmatorium, Inc., which specializes in the creation of affordable, easy-to-understand revelatory tools for people on the go. Madame Karma's cosmically-inspired products are now sold at selected bookstores, fun shops, and gift boutiques nationwide.
